Compliance & Risk

Conservative, documented, and within applicable controls.

01

KYC / KYB

Counterparty identity verification, corporate registration review, beneficial ownership disclosure, and reference checks. AltroMet maintains qualification files on every active counterparty and refreshes them on a defined cycle.

02

Sanctions & Export Controls

Screening of counterparties and destinations against applicable sanctions regimes. Awareness of dual-use considerations and licensing requirements affecting specific materials and corridors — including the licensing regime introduced by China in 2024 covering antimony products.

03

Origin & Documentation

Certificate-of-origin review, warehouse and title verification, assay validity confirmation, and lot linkage between sample, document, and shipped material. Documentation gaps are escalated and resolved before commercial commitment.

04

Independent Inspection

Inspection by SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek, or a buyer-appointed equivalent before payment as a default posture. Buyer-appointed inspectors are recommended for non-recurring counterparties or first-time material categories.

05

Anti-Fraud Procedures

No upfront fees to unknown counterparties. No reliance on circulated PDFs without independent verification. No undocumented stock offers. No engagement with chains of brokers forwarding the same material under conflicting representations.

06

Responsible Sourcing

Awareness of ESG considerations and applicable responsible-sourcing standards across critical minerals, with particular attention to materials and geographies subject to elevated scrutiny. Sourcing decisions reflect both regulatory and reputational considerations.

AltroMet does not support transactions designed to circumvent applicable laws, export controls, or sanctions regimes.
